throughly enjoyed our stay.the room was spacious and we liked the decor. a little noisy by other guests on saturday night.food in resturant very good.location great since it's my old home/school town!treatment in spa v relaxing.bought membership for leisure centre for my mum:-)

“Bridal bliss in five star-style splendor with amazing service and food!”. I simply cannot praise the Carlton Abbey highly enough! First of all as it was our anniversary they put us in the AMAZING ... bridal suite which has its own private garden complete with jacuzzi, fabulous enormous antique four poster bed, huge oval whirlpool/jacuzzi bath in a huge and beautiful bathroom, huge room with desk, seating area with two armchairs and a sofa plus really beautiful gold embroidered silk curtains, tea and coffee making facilities plus everything else you would expect including bathrobes. Our breath was simply taken away by it all - we have never stayed in such a fabulous suite before, so romantic and luxurious - we were in heaven! We also saw a standard room and that too was very spacious and immaculately turned out with a beautiful bathroom and far superior in my to most hotel rooms I have seen. We were totally spoiled by all the staff especially Sammy in the restaurant who made our dinner extra special in so many ways including creating a special cocktail for me and making the whole evening so memorable due to his excellent service! Dinner itself was really lovely - super fresh seafood, divine deserts and lots of extra touches on an exciting, varied menu in a very nice and romantic dining room. Breakfasts too were totally delicious and many compliments to the chef! After seeing quite a few hotel breakfasts this one was really nicely prepared, cooked and presented. The hotel has plenty of parking, free broadband (lovely!) and a really swish leisure centre which we did not get time to do anything more that look at as we enjoyed our wonderful suite so much. It is also located right in the middle of town unlike the Clanard Court which is quite a long way (not comfortable walking distance as there are no pavements for a good deal of the way) out of town and while it did look like a nice hotel it could not compare to the style, class and glamour of the Carlton Abbey. I have stayed in 4 or more Carltons and although the Carlton Atlantic in Westport has spectacular views and the Carlton Shearwater is very glamorous, so far the Carlton Abbey stand out as by far the best of a really good hotel group. Great Food, outstanding service, beautiful rooms, wonderful food all in an elegant, stylish and characterful building with lovely welcoming atmosphere - to me the Carlton Abbey is far more 5 star than the four stars it holds. I would advise anyone thinking of staying in the area to choose this really stunning hotel which has so much to offer and works so hard to please its guests. I stayed in this hotel on a last minute get away with my partner. The facilities were great, spa treatments excellent and at a great price. Food in the bar / restaurant was beautiful and good value for money. I would definitely recommend a stay in this fab hotel.

I am the brother of the groom of the wedding when we stayed at your hotel for two nights. I have to say that we have never had service like it before. Stayed here one night while attending a wedding locally. The room was really nice and spacious, on a par with an upmarket hotel. The bathroom was nicely decorated. Didn't get to see the bar or restaurant. Had breakfast in bed - it was really tasty. All in all a very pleasant experience for a very reasonable price.

we recently stayed in the Carlton Abbey hotel in Athy we had a lovely stays the rooms we big,the beds cosy and the bath room was massive. breakfast was really lovely staff were very welcoming even when we came back for drinks in the residents bar at half two in the morning

The hotel is very beautiful and keeps many of the original features. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The bar is amazing and the food is really fresh with a good menu choice. Easy to get to from Dublin and Athy is a lovely little town for browsing around.

We travel quite a distance to this hotel every year for the past 4, because no matter what time of year we stay it feels like a holiday. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic, the rooms are home from home and the spa is a welcome treat. Thank you for the last 4 years and there will be many more to come i hope.
