My partner and I had the great pleasure recently of staying in one of Ireland's hidden gems The Carlton Abbey Hotel. We spent two wonderful days,in what we considered a 5 star experience.The staff where ...
so friendly throughout our whole break but we must give a special mention to the restaurant manager and barman who we had great fun making some cocktails with. Our room which was situated to the front of the hotel was well beyond what we expected in all areas, but the real gem of the place is the food which would but a lot Dublin restaurants to shame with its high quality and low prices.
We both cant wait to go back again in the summer months for another short break, and have been highly recommending the Carlton Abbey to all our friends since returning home. ---

Whilst I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with the cleanliness of the Steam room, I always appreciate the time taken to leave a review of the hotel. I have spoken to the Manager in the Leisure Club and can assure you we are looking at all the cleaning charts and procedures to ensure the Leisure facilities is kept clean to a very high standard.

The overall experience was thoroughly enjoyable, hotel is tastefully decorated and has a modern comfortable feel, the service and food in the restaurant were excellent. It is definitely somewhere I would return to for a quiet getaway.

Great hotel for families. Stayed in family apartment adjacent to hotel. Food lovely. Staff in restaurant helpful and really friendly. Great value for money.

We spent a few days in the apartments with the kids, Found the accommodation excellent. The Staff could not do enough to accommodate us. We stayed over the Easter period and the staff had egg hunts for the kids - they loved it. The price for our stay was extremely reasonable.

Very enjoyable stay all staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We stayed in apartment adjacent which was very roomy and all services of hotel available.

Stayed from Sunday to Tuesday. Check in was quick with a new but extremely helpful receptionist. :-) Room was just like website. The pastrami brushetta was to die for, I had it both nights we were there. Only fault we had with our stay was breakfast...my scrambled eggs were microwaved and like foam :( But our overall experience was great, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I had paid for the Punchestown package, which was extremely reasonable, the hotel room and breafast was very good.
The only disappointment was that the bus which was included in the package was not very ...
well organised and we were late arriving to the races and also late back, and we missed the dinner which had been included, however the package had been very reasonable therefore it did not matter so much. Although the restaurant did look nice and I would like to have tried the food.
The room was lovely, I would stay again but if booking a package I would make sure of the details before booking. ---

the way staff interacted with the children that were staying with us. We stayed for three nights and when it came time to go home none of us wanted to leave! Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again. Thanks to all the stall for a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing weekend! ---

the staff were lovely and very helpful. I didn't get the 4 star quality from the hotel..
the leisure centre could do with a touch up and having to pay for a swimming hat!?
the food was nice but not so nice that i remember what i had, i thought id still be praising it..
